Phelps’ Bong Boner Proves a Windfall for Food Bank.
Swimmer Michael Phelps recent image of him taking a bong hit of weed may have given him a case of the munchies, but has proven to be a windfall for the San Francisco Food Bank.
That’s because the food bank recently received nearly 2 tons of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes and Frosted Flakes bearing Phelps’ likeness, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Phelps lost his Kellogg’s endorsement deal after the bong hit images taken at a South Carolina frat party were published.
But one person’s loss becomes another’s breakfast. “It’s a very tough item to get,” says food bank director Paul Ash.
So now, if food bank recipients ge the munchies, well, cereal is the perfect food to satisfy the craving.
Just some news to chew…
